It is intended that the education campaign EDUARD 2012 (Education Award) provide dedicated teachers the opportunity to inspire interest and understanding for the topical issue of energy, to implement their ideas for the innovative, creative and sustainable study projects and to grapple with the subject area of “energy” (intelligent usage, efficiency etc.) away from the normal school day.
"Die Presse" and VERBUND are making prize money available to the tune of 50,000 Euro for the implementation of the project ideas arising from these study projects. It is intended that EDUARD 2012 will underline the common commitment to put a sustained emphasis on the area of education.
Under www.stromschule.at, VERBUND is also offering comprehensive course material concerning the efficient application and production of electricity.
The joint campaign between "Die Presse" and VERBUND, which is under the patronage of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture, is intended to actively help to the carve out the future of education and therewith the future of our children. For education is the future, and energy is one of the most important issues of the future.
