Electric mobility offers us a unique opportunity to change our entire Austrian electricty system over to renewable energies and electricity. It is for this reason that – together with powerful partners from industry and research - we at VERBUND are developing a complete electric mobility system within the framework of the "Austrian Mobile Power" platform that was established especially for this purpose.

AMP is a platform of top Austrian companies from the energy sector, industry and research with the goal of leading Austria into the age of electric mobility. Also counting among the partners, alongside VERBUND, are Siemens Austria, Magna, AIT, AVL, KTM, numerous provincial energy suppliers, as well as further partners from the automobile and IT industries.

In its capacity as a cross-industry network of top Austrian companies, AMP will ensure that at least 200,000 electric vehicles are on Austria’s roads in 2020. Austrian Mobile Power is making a complete electric mobility system available to the mass market and therewith contributing significantly to climate-, environment- and generation-friendly management.
