Since our company was founded in 1947, the generation of electricity from hydropower has been our primary focus.

Energy - The Human Element. With its renewable energies initiative, VERBUND is consequently strengthening its position as the largest sustainable electricity group in Austria.

The Responsibility grows - so do we. "With our hydropower plants, we are making an important contribution to climate protection. And we shall push ahead with our goal of preventing and further reducing CO2 emissions in Austria and abroad."

Beyond markets. Today, the accountability of companies is moving more and more into the public spotlight.

Beyond power. We generate electricity from domestic hydropower in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner. We operate the Austrian high-voltage grid and guarantee supply security.
