October 2012 saw the publication of the catalogue open spaces | secret places. Works from SAMMLUNG VERBUND, at the publishing house of Buchhandlung Walther König book shop. The exhibition at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg (Salzburg Museum of Modern Art) under the same name combines artistic positions from 1970 to today from SAMMLUNG VERBUND. The subject of visualisation is phenomena regarding the perception of spaces and places, whereby artists also examine the fleeting nature of the present and the historical changes of time and space.

In May 2012 the Catalogue Raisonné "Cindy Sherman. The Early Works 1975-1977" was published. For more than 35 years, Cindy Sherman (born in 1954 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey) has been visualising a multitude of role models and female identities. The artist elevated the game of transformation into her artistic concept and, in her early years, created numerous hitherto unknown photographs. SAMMLUNG VERBUND has academically edited the conceptual beginnings of her œuvre into a comprehensive Catalogue Raisonné.

November 2009 saw the publication of the first comprehensive monograph on the work of Austria artist Birgit Jürgenssen (1949-2003), who counts among the outstanding international artists of the feminist avant-garde. SAMMLUNG VERBUND also published hitherto unknown works from Birgit Jürgenssen’s estate in the richly illustrated volume.

Since the end of the 1960’s, Birgit Jürgenssen developed a complex art based on surrealism and with a socio-critical approach. The female body and its metamorphosis are at the focus of her graphic, pictorial and photographic works.

The monograph is published by Gabriele Schor and Abigial Solomon-Godeau, with texts by Elisabeth Bronfen (University of Zurich), Birgit Jürgenssen, Sigrid Schade (Zurich University of the Arts), Gabriele Schor (SAMMLUNG VERBUND), Abigail Solomon-Godeau (University of California/Santa Barbara) and Geraldine Spiekermann.
