We can be reached in one the following manners:
By bicycle: along the Danube or Danube Island.
By public transport: If travelling on the Vienna Line, take the U2 to the station "Donaumarina" and continue with bus 80B to the station "Kraftwerk Freudenau".
By car: Take access road A4 (exit "Simmeringer Haide") or across Kaiser-Ebersdorfer Straße. Continue on via Zinnergasse to Freudenauer Hafenbrücke (follow the signs to Freudenauer Hafen)
The visitors' parking lot can be found after the underpass.
Group tours with advanced booking
All year round, daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The tours begin on the hour and every half hour.
Groups of all sizes can choose a date and time of their choice to visit the power plant. We welcome all visitors – kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, youth groups works outings or senior citizens associations. We offer each group a tailored program in line with individual requirements and the respective level of expertise – if required, also in English.
Family tours without advanced booking
From the beginning of February to the end of November, on Sundays and public/church holidays at 2 p.m. Experience an exciting afternoon with the entire family. An advanced booking is not necessary – simply come along for an enjoyable and informative afternoon.
Infotainment electricity
Visitors to the power plant will enjoy an exciting electricity experience that lasts 90 minutes. You will first learn about the history of the power plant in the Information Center, which accommodates its own cinema, several exhibits and a large model of the power plant. This will be followed by a tour of the power plant where you will experience the powerful machinery up close – 30 meters below water level.
