Explore the interior of the 725 m long and 131 m high Schlegeis barrage wall. The one hour tour of the Schlegeis dam takes place from June to October, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., every hour on the hour.
Our seasoned personnel offer you the rare opportunity of getting to know the interior of the 131 m high, double curved arch-gravity dam. You will be able to take a walk along the first inspection walkway of the 725 m long barrage wall, the longest in VERBUND's repertoire. Our guides are anxious to explain the wall's complex technical measuring and monitoring facilities in an understandable manner.
Meeting point and registration for the guided tour is the marked assembly point in front of the Schlegeis mountain restaurant. There you can purchase your tickets for the tour in advance. We would ask you to give us prior notification if you wish to bring groups of 15 and more.
