From job search to audition

The application process at VERBUND: Transparent, understandable and fair – that is important to us as an employer, in the application process as elsewhere.

We have defined a total of six essential steps in the process, for your information.

Here you can search for vacant positions.

Either by

  • date,
  • job title or
  • location

Click on one of these buttons.
Then click on positions that interest you.
At the end of the requirements profile you will find a link for an online application.

Please complete your personal data in this area. Mandatory fields are marked with "required".

Afterwards upload

  • your curriculum vitae,
  • your letter of application and
  • your certificates or
  • further documents.

Here as well, required fields are marked. To upload a document, click on the button "add file", and double-click the document or mark it and click "open".

Before finalising your application you need to confirm that you have read the data protection information. You also have the option of separately consenting to your application data being kept on file in the applicant pool. If not, your data will be deleted after the application process is over.

To conclude, click on "submit".

As soon as you have completed your online application, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt at the e-mail address you have given.

We look over your application documents carefully and compare your qualifications with the requirements profile for the respective position. It may happen as we look over your data that we find a different position which would fit your qualifications better. In this case we would contact you for your consent to pass your data on to the other department (which may even be part of a different corporate entity).

If your profile is interesting for us and we have found a suitable position for you, we will invite you to an interview in order to get to know you in person.

If you have convinced us in the interview, then the next step for most advertised positions is that we would like to know still more about you by means of an audition. The audition setting is with a committee of various persons from the corporate entities with advisory, co-determination or decision-making competences in regard to filling the vacant position. In addition, it is possible that external parties commissioned by VERBUND may participate.

Thanks to the audition, you get deeper insights into our company and the advertised position. This is a good way for you to find out whether you would like to work with us.


We want you to know exactly what we expect of you and your application. If you want your wish of an apprenticeship position at VERBUND to be granted, you should know and observe the following five steps:

Please have all your documents ready for applying in our application system.

Choose the apprenticeship position that you would like to apply for.

Please fill out the application form with your personal data. Required fields are marked "Required." Then please upload your application documents:

  • CV
  • Letter of application
  • Copies of all end-of-year report cards and diplomas/leaving certificates from the 5th school year onwards, up to the last year of school attended

At the end of the application form you need to confirm that you have read the data privacy information. You also have the option of separately consenting to having your application data stored in the application pool. If you do not, your data will be deleted after the application process has been concluded.

Finally, click on "Send."

Following this you will receive confirmation of receipt at the e-mail address you have given us.

If your application interests us, then you will take a theoretical and a practical test with us. In a personal meeting you will have a chance to convince us – and to get to know us better.
