Fritz Wöber is New Communications Manager at APG

Effective 1 March 2010, Fritz Wöber (44) will take over the management of the communications department at VERBUND-Austrian Power Grid AG, the grid subsidiary of the VERBUND Group and Austria’s largest transmission grid operator.

As new communications manager of the VERBUND Grid, he will be taking over from Gerald Schulze, who will assume new responsibilities outside the company.

Fritz Wöber has been a well-known authority in Austrian economic journalism for many years. Following an almost ten-year period as an economic journalist for the daily paper "Die Presse", he changed to the news magazine "News", where he eventually became the manager of the economic department. He last headed the economic department of the daily paper "Österreich".

Also new to the communications department of the VERBUND Grid subsidiary is Markus Pederiva (33). A university graduate with a degree in business administration, he has been collecting experience over the past years as marketing and PR consultant in the area of group communication and was last active for PR agency "Accedo". In the communications department of VERBUND-Austrian Power Grid AG, he will take over the responsibility for external communication.
