EDUARD 2012 - Energy Education Award

"Die Presse" and VERBUND are launching a new education campaign: EDUARD 2012, thus providing teachers with the opportunity to implement innovative project ideas.

“Die Presse” is joining forces with VERBUND to launch a new initiative: EDUARD 2012 powered by VERBUND. Under the patronage of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture, “Die Presse” and VERBUND wish to therewith sustainably put the focus on the area of education and to give teachers the opportunity to implement their innovative project ideas together with their students. Energy is this year’s focal point of EDUARD 2012.

Away from the normal, day-to-day school life, the Education Award 2012 offers teachers the chance to inspire interest and understanding for the current subject of energy, to promote the students’ media skills and to initiate an interdisciplinary education project, which is also going to be implemented.

An expert jury and a vote by readers of “Die Presse” will determine which six projects are to be implemented by the end of the school year.

“Die Presse” and VERBUND are making prize money to the tune of 50,000 Euro available for the realisation of the project ideas.
