Powerwall by Tesla Energie is now available

SOLAVOLTA puts Austria's first Powerwall in operation

VERBUND, Austria's leading electricity company, and SOLAVOLTA, the largest domestic company for private photovoltaic systems, are starting sales of the Powerwall made by Tesla Energy in Austria. Austria's first Powerwall was installed at SOLAVOLTA's location in St. Margarethen, Burgenland.

SOLAVOLTA is now testing the Powerwall in-house for photovoltaic customers who would like to use their self-generated electricity even more efficiently with the aid of the stylish storage system. With 7 kilowatt hours for daily-cycle operation, the Daily Cycle Powerwall provides enough capacity to sustain most private households with self-generated electricity during the night. The demand is great and numerous customers have already reserved a Powerwall.

Tesla Energy stands for innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Within only a few years' time, SOLAVOLTA has become a top provider of photovoltaic solutions in Austria. And VERBUND is number 1 in the Austrian electricity market with electricity from 100% Austrian hydropower for our household and industrial customers. Together, these strong partners are offering the optimal solution for the use of solar energy in an 'energy-intelligent' home: Photovoltaic systems, Tesla Energy Powerwall and green electricity!

Stylish storage system increases the level of private use
The average household consumes between 10 and 15 kWh of electricity every day, particularly in the morning and the evening. However, solar energy is available primarily at midday and in the afternoon. The solution is: storing energy correctly. With the Powerwall from Tesla Energy, renewable energy is stored without a hitch and self-generated solar energy can be used according to need at any time of day – after all, private consumption is the most efficient use of self-generated electricity from a PV unit.

Secure one of the first Tesla Energy Powerwalls in Austria today
The complete photovoltaic storage solution is available starting at a package price of €17,900. Included in the package are a 4 kWp photovoltaic system, the Daily Cycle Powerwall from Tesla Energy with charging management from Fronius, as well as planning, installation and start-up operations. For photovoltaic systems that are already installed there is the option of upgrading the storage solution with the Daily Cycle Powerwall. For new customers, an attractive electricity rate of 10 cents/kWh applies for self-generated electricity. Interested persons can register starting immediately at www.verbund.at/powerwall. The first Tesla Energy Daily Cycle Powerwalls have already been sold. The demand is great.

Technical data on the Daily Cycle Powerwall
The wall-mounted, rechargeable storage battery is based on the test-proven technology of the Tesla e-vehicles. It is conceived for the private consumption of self-generated solar energy. In the case of a greater power demand, multiple Powerwall devices can be connected. The Powerwall will first appear on the market in white, followed by further colour options.
