Heinrich Schwaiger House

The Heinrich Schwaiger House stands on the Salzburg side of the Hohe Tauern National Park at an elevation of 2,802 metres above sea level and is exceptionally cosy for a shelter chalet situated so high up. However, the chalet is not suitable for family stays with children.

The ascent to the chalet, the surrounding area and the summit tours are too difficult or too dangerous for children. For young people with basic alpine experience, however, the shelter chalet (and even the Große Wiesbachhorn) is an experience. The path to the Heinrich Schwaiger House is a high-alpine hike that can only be undertaken with the right equipment and ability.

Opening times:
The Heinrich Schwaiger House will remain closed in 2020.
