Michael Strugl in the energy dialogue with Karoline Edtstadler, Gabriel Felbermayr and Günther Oettinger

Security of supply and energy prices are central issues and challenges. What answers and options are there to offer solutions right here and now and how will we have to develop in the long term? These questions were posed by a high-level panel discussion moderated by Gabor Steingart at the Pioneer One in Berlin: Karoline Endtstadler (Federal Minister for EU and Constitution), Gabriel Felbermayr (Director of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research – WIFO), Günther Oettinger (former vice-president of the EU Commission) and Michael Strugl (Chief Executive Officer of VERBUND).

Austria, Germany and Europe have undertaken much in terms of climate protection. At the same time, Europe has become the scene of a war. The current situation is ruthlessly pointing out our dependency. Dependency that is also making itself felt in energy prices.

Michael Strugl therefore sent out invitations again this year to the Energy Talk at the Pioneer One in Berlin – to discuss the current challenges, solutions and lessons. The goal: to combine forces for the green energy future.
