Verbundplan GmbH: New Managing Directors

Univ.-Doz. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Günter Moraw and Mag. Michael Schmidt new Managing Directors of Verbundplan GmbH.

Verbundplan GmbH, Austria’s leading engineering and consulting company for energy, environment, infrastructure and traffic as well as management, is entering the year 2002 with a new management team.

Univ.-Doz. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Günter Moraw and Mag. Michael Schmidt have been appointed Managing Directors of the company with effect from 01-01-2002 by the shareholders’ meeting of Verbundplan GmbH. In this function, they are succeeding Counsellor of Commerce Ing. Heinz H. Giljum and Mag. (FH) August Grausam, who retired on 12-31-2001.

Dr. Moraw, previously board member responsible for Engineering, Operations and Marketing of TESSAG Austria AG, Vienna, is now responsible for engineering and sales. Mag. Schmidt, who brings the expertise he acquired as Managing Director of VERBUND-Umwelttechnik GmbH into the new position, will take over the commercial agenda.

As subsidiary of VERBUND, Verbundplan GmbH has a wide operating spectrum including planning and consulting services for hydroelectric and thermal power plants, electrical plants, water supply and distribution, construction and project management, energy and network applications engineering etc. The company has got 300 employees, the 2001 annual turnover amounts to approx. EUR 43 million. Moreover, Verbundplan has the Czech consulting firm Aquatis with 165 employees as associated company.
