Power Plants on Danube Have No Impact on Floods

The runoff of the flood cannot be influenced by the VERBUND-Austrian Hydro Power AG (AHP) power plants on the Danube. All measures taken by the power plants are based on decisions of the Water Board and supervised by this Board. The charge that the flooding was helped by the power plants’ failure to take well-coordinated measures, which was expressed by some individuals who have been affected by the flood, is entirely unfounded.
