Statement of the Executive Committee of the Supervisory Board of VERBUND

1. No such idea has been put forward by the supervisory board of VERBUND, neither in the past nor at present.

2. Incidentally, the management board spokesman of EVN is a member of the supervisory board of VERBUND; he has never made a statement on the matter in this body.

3. It would be irresponsible to withdraw our confidence from the chairman of the board of management of VERBUND, who has done an outstanding job in the management of the company in cooperation with his two colleagues.
