30.04.2010Vienna

Within the framework of the first Austrian e-mobility conference in Graz, more than 40 experts from Europe, the USA and also China took up the invitation extended by Graz mayor, Siegfried Nagl, to discuss current stages of development in the electromobility sector.

Not only was VERBUND able to offer a top speaker in the guise of Wolfgang Pell, Head of Innovation, but the company also used the grounds of Graz Spring Fair to present the entire loading infrastructure for the fleet of electric cars that are currently available today. All trade fair visitors can test the cars for free until Sunday.

As an Austrian premiere, VERBUND’s new column load from British manufacturer Electromotive was presented to the public for the first time, as well as to the media in the form of a press conference.

Wolfgang Pell: "This charging infrastructure already fulfils all prerequisites for the so-called "charge everywhere concept", thus for those charging strategies where development has been led by VERBUND within the framework of the Austrian Mobile Power platform."

Also able to convince himself of the benefits of this integrated charging philosophy for electromobility was Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Josef Pröll, whom Wolfang Pell presented with the electronic chip key numbered "VERBUND 0001" on the occasion of the e-mobility congress in Graz. In front of 400 congress guests, Pell presented the electromobility key numbered "VERBUND 0002" to the Graz host, Mayor Siegfried Nagl.

Up to and including Sunday, a further ten thousand trade fair visitors will inform themselves about VERBUND’s electromobility offering during the Graz Spring Fair.
