Supervisory Board Decides on Managing Board Responsibilities

In today’s meeting, Verbund’s Supervisory Board took the decision not to replace Christian Kern, who will take over as managing director of ÖBB from 7 June 2010.

His responsibilities will be assigned to the three remaining board members Wolfgang Anzengruber, Chairman of the Board; Johann Sereinig, Deputy Chairman; and Ulrike Baumgartner-Gabitzer, Member of the Board.

In today’s meeting of the Supervisory Board a decision was taken to assign the Managing Board responsibilities as follows: In future, international shareholdings will come under the department of CEO Wolfgang Anzengruber; the power grid will be assigned to Ulrike Baumgartner-Gabitzer; and the thermal generation sector will be taken over by Deputy Chairman Johann Sereinig.
