After five months of restoration works, the 82-year-old power plant on the Mur is once again producing clean electricity from hydropower.

After a five-month renovation period, the 21 MW power plant, hitherto under monument conservation, is once again in operation. In the course of the sanitation works, the headrace channel and the historic basic structure of the power house were renovated. The electrical system components and the steel water components were renewed and the replacement of one of the generator sets was initiated. Now the two old Francis turbines will commence their last service period before being modernised as well. One of the old Francis turbines will be placed on exhibition in a specially erected show power plant.
