More and more consumers are paying attention to where and how products are produced. We offer a wide range of solutions for your green energy supply.

Our power plants

You can see a high mountain panorama in the sunshine. In front of it is a reservoir with a dam wall. The blue sky is covered with fluffy white clouds, the sun is shining and makes the reservoir water glow turquoise. The meadow banks are lush green.

Climate action at VERBUND

We energise the future with clean electricity and innovative solutions. We focus on climate-friendly electricity generation, 95% of which comes from hydropower and wind power, and actively contribute to preventing and reducing emissions. VERBUND attaches particular importance to the continuous maintenance and improvement of existing power plants, which boosts efficiency and accelerates greening.

Nature conservation and biodiversity

Investments in environmental protection and ecological measures to conserve biodiversity strengthen our commitment to nature. In addition to the fish that use the barrier-free access of fish passes, this benefits all organisms in and around the water habitat. Biotopes and measures to protect birds along pipeline routes also enhance habitats.

To renaturation
