Traisen River Estuary to be Renaturized
VERBUND submits environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the redevelopment of the Traisen estuary.
Following the notice of approval at first level by the Tyrolean provincial government on 12 July 2010 for the construction of Inn joint venture power plant, the authorities in Switzerland have now also given the go-ahead: the Swiss department for environment, transport, energy and communication in Bern has granted permission for the utilisation of the hydropower deriving from the Inn river, as well as the construction permit for the cross-border power plant project.
