Proposal for the replacement of the Supervisory Board

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of VERBUND AG approved the proposal for the new composition of the Supervisory Board, which will be submitted to the Annual General Meeting on 22 April 2015 for resolution. The proposed resolution will be published on the VERBUND AG homepage from 26 March 2015.

Proposed resolution:

The proposal to be submitted by the Supervisory Board to the Annual General Meeting of VERBUND AG consists of the following candidates:

Gilbert Frizberg (entrepreneur, managing partner of Hereschwerke and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VERBUND since 2007) 

Michael Süß (international energy expert with in-depth knowledge of Germany, VERBUND's most important foreign market) 

Elisabeth Engelbrechtsmüller-Strauß (managing director at Fronius and a recognised financial expert) 

Harald Kaszanits (secretary general at the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy and a member of VERBUND's supervisory board since 2010) 

Susanne Riess (chairwoman of the managing board at Wüstenrot since 2004)

Christa Wagner (entrepreneur and member of VERBUND's Supervisory Board since 2010)

Jürgen Roth (managing director of a family-owned company active in energy trading and holding senior positions in the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber) 

Werner Muhm (holding a senior position in the Austrian Chamber of Labour and having been a member of the supervisory board of partly state-owned companies for many years) 

Peter Layr (Chairman of the Executive Board of EVN and a member of the Supervisory Board of VERBUND since 2011) 

Martin Krajcsir (Chairman of the Executive Board of Wiener Stadtwerke and a member of the Supervisory Board of VERBUND since 2014)

Peter Püspök, Reinhold Süßenbacher, Alfred Heinzel and Herbert Kaufmann will no longer be members of VERBUND's Supervisory Board. Siegfried Wolf already resigned from VERBUND's Supervisory Board in mid-2014.
