New tariff for Austria! VERBUND reduces electricity prices
VERBUND, Austria’s leading energy company, is reducing electricity prices, delivering tangible relief for households and businesses. The new offer for existing and new VERBUND customers guarantees an electricity price of 9.50 cents excluding VAT (11.40 cents incl. VAT) per kilowatt-hour in the first year with a minimum contract of 12 months. The new “V-Strom ÖSTERREICH” tariff can be taken out easily online. New customers can sign up from 16 February; existing customers can switch from 16 February, and the new prices will apply from 1 March.
Secure supply must be affordable
VERBUND supplies Austria with sustainable energy from 100% Austrian hydropower day and night. A clean energy future must be accessible to all. Because energy must be affordable and remain so. VERBUND is now reducing electricity prices thanks to lower procurement costs.
Attractive electricity price
VERBUND would like to thank existing customers and welcome new customers with the new “V-Strom ÖSTERREICH” tariff: the fixed-price offer is 12.50 cents excl. VAT (15 cents incl. VAT) per kilowatt-hour. Customers receive an attractive discount for a full year, which means an electricity price of 9.50 cents excluding VAT (11.40 cents incl. VAT) per kilowatt-hour guaranteed for a 12-month contract. The basic price is EUR 3.99 excluding VAT (EUR 4.79 incl. VAT) per month. Thanks to the 12-month price guarantee from the start of the contract, customers do not have to worry about rising electricity prices.
Customer information and easy tariff changes
The new electricity price offer is aimed at both existing VERBUND customers and new customers.
In mid-February, existing VERBUND customers without a fixed-term contract will receive a letter by post or email containing all relevant information needed to switch to the new tariff. All that is required is the customer’s consent, which can be given quickly and easily online or by telephone. Existing customers can switch to the tariff from 16 February, and the new prices will apply from 1 March. Customers who are still within their contract term with VERBUND can switch to this offer once their contract expires. Customers who do not wish to take up this offer will continue under their existing electricity supply agreement and current terms.
