Management systems
Environmental management
As part of the certification process for environmental management systems, our facilities are regularly inspected by external auditors. VERBUND has implemented environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 at its generation and grid facilities as well as at large administrative locations. The thermal generation plants in Mellach are also validated in accordance with the EMAS Regulation. A separate environmental statement for these plants is published annually on this website. New plants are integrated into the environmental management system after commissioning and included in the scope of the certificate during the subsequent audit.
Occupational health and safety management
VERBUND has established a management system for occupational health and safety in accordance with ISO 45001 in the areas listed. This ensures that high safety standards are further developed in a continuous improvement process and that safe, healthy workplaces are guaranteed.
