At the fault reporting centre of St. Peter am Hart (district of Braunau), control teams are working at full capacity to repair the damages caused by windstorm "Emma". Despite the damages, electricity supply was not once interrupted in the transmission grid.
More than 100 workers are currently engaged in the repair work. The foundation work has already started; the damaged pylons have been dismantled and removed. As a result of this meteorological emergency situation, additional work is necessary for the erection of the provisional line. From today's point of view, commissioning of the provisional line, constructed as a measure to further secure grid stability (n-1 given stability factor) would appear to be expected for Tuesday, 11 March.
Security of electricity supply guaranteed for Schärding
Thanks to laborious switching procedures in APG's 110 kV substation at Ranshofen, electricity supply for the greater area of Schärding has been secured via an additional 110 kV line. Approx. 50,000 households in this area will, for the time being, be supplied with electricity via the existing line of Ranshofen-Ering.
"We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all residents and property owners for their patience and support in the repair work," Heinz Kaupa, APG chairman of the board, emphasizes.
