Verbund wins tender for run-of-river power plant in Albania
Verbund asserted its strength in a tender amid international competition and was announced by the Albanian government as the winner of the tender for a power plant project on River Drin in northern Albania, not far from the town of Shkoder.
Run-of-river power plant with 48 MW
The project with a planned investment volume of approx. 160 million Euro concerns the construction and operation of a run-of-river power plant with an installed capacity of 48 MW. The power plant forms the final link in a chain of three existing power plants. Operations are expected to start in 2012.
