Breaking-of-the-ground ceremony for hydropower plant Ashta
Monday, 25 May 2009 saw the breaking-of-the-ground ceremony held by VERBUND and SPV Energji Ashta for the hydropower plant in Ashta, northern Albania, near Shkoder, the fourth largest town of the country.
Rabensteiner received the award for his special services in the reorientation and internationalization of the OVE in the course of his presidency from 2005-2008, and as president of the European umbrella organization EUREL 2007.
With its more than 2000 members, the OVE represents the Austrian electricity industry (energy providers, electrical trade and industry) as well as being the professional body for all electrical engineers.
