Rainer Tschopp is the new Communications Manager and press spokesperson for the West region at VERBUND. He is responsible for the communication agendas in Salzburg, Tyrol and Bavaria. He will also take care of communications for what is currently the biggest construction project being undertaken by VERBUND: the 480 MW underground power plant Limberg 3 in the Kaprun power plant group. In this position, Rainer Tschopp follows Wolfgang Syrowatka, who has taken on strategic communication in the holding team for communication under Monika Riedel.

The Salzburg native Rainer Tschopp was most recently responsible for marketing and cooperations in the ORF regional studio for Salzburg. From 2011 to 2018, he was a senior consultant and from 2013 also a member of management at the communications agency ikp Salzburg GmbH. Prior to that, he was responsible for the area of public relations and media management as spokesperson at an Austrian beverage manufacturer.
