Dorothea Misch-Balanjuk new Communications Manager and Press Spokeswoman for Germany

Dorothea Misch-Balanjuk is the new Communications Manager and Press Spokeswoman for Germany at VERBUND. Since February 2025, she has been responsible for the communications agendas of Austria's leading energy company in Germany in a newly created position and will primarily be responsible for communications for VERBUND's hydropower plants in Bavaria and other renewable energy projects (wind and PV) in Germany.

Dorothea Misch-Balanjuk previously worked in various strategic and operational communications roles.

Most recently, she was Senior Manager Executive Board Communications at Westenergie AG in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Until mid-2024, since 2019 as Managing Director of Communications and Public Affairs, she was responsible for communications on all topics relating to public services at the umbrella organisation of the German municipal sector VKU e.V. in Berlin from 2017. Prior to that, she held various positions at the BILD Group Axel Springer SE (2000 to 2013) and worked as Communications Manager at Philip Morris Germany in Gräfelfing near Munich from 2015 to 2016.
