VERBUND responds to energy market developments and adjusts V-Strom ÖSTERREICH tariff

• New terms for new contracts: price guarantee of 10.00 cents excl. VAT (= 12.00 cents incl. VAT) per kWh in the first year – this price is based on an energy price of 15.00 cents excl. VAT (= 18.00 cents incl. VAT) minus a 5.00 cent discount in the first year

• Existing tariffs remain unchanged

VERBUND, Austria’s leading energy company, is responding to the increasingly challenging situation on the international energy markets and is adjusting the prices of the V-Strom ÖSTERREICH tariff for new contracts with effect from 24 September. With a guaranteed electricity price of 10.00 cents excluding VAT (= 12.00 cents including VAT) per kilowatt hour in the first year, subject to a 12-month contract term, customers choosing the Austria tariff for the first time will benefit – even under the adjusted tariff – from an electricity price that remains one of the most competitive on the market. Adapting to current market developments

Current geopolitical developments – particularly the conflict in the Middle East – and their impact on international energy markets have made price increases necessary, which is why the V-Strom ÖSTERREICH tariff has been adjusted for new contracts.

Tariff details at a glance

The new Austria tariff is a fixed-price offer with a discounted energy price of 10.00 cents excl. VAT (= 12.00 cents incl. VAT) per kilowatt hour and a monthly basic price of EUR 4.20 excl. VAT (= EUR 5.04 incl. VAT) in the first year. The first-year price of 10.00 cents excluding VAT is based on the standard energy price of 15.00 cents excluding VAT, minus a discount of 5.00 cents. From the second year onwards, the undiscounted energy price of 15.00 cents excluding VAT (= 18.00 cents including VAT) applies; the basic price remains unchanged.

This tariff is aimed at customers who have not previously signed up for the Austria tariff. For existing VERBUND customers who have already opted for the V-Strom ÖSTERREICH tariff, the agreed terms remain unchanged.
