Triebenbach Run-of-River Plant

VERBUND's Triebenbach power plant is a run-of-river plant on the Triebenbach stream at the western edge of Trieben in the Paltental Valley in Styria.

Technical Description 

The Triebenbach run-of-river power plant was constructed between 1993 and 1995. The power plant grounds were raised by around 3 metres, extensive embankment safety measures were necessary in the upper and downstream areas of the weir facility. A vertically built in, six jet Pelton turbine with direct DC coupled three-phase synchronous generator generates around 43 GWh of electricity a year.
