Gstatterboden Run-of-River Power Plant

VERBUND's power plant of Gstatterboden is a run-of-river plant situated on the river Enns and located in the municipality of Wenig im Gesäuse in Styria.

Technical description

The Gstatterboden power plant was built from 1953 to 1955. The Wag reservoir was added in 1960 to 1963. Renovation was necessary in 2006 because of a breach in the dam, and from 2008 to 2010 the power plant was expanded to include a second pressure tunnel.
