The Kreuzeck daily storage facility utilises the outflows of some streams in the eastern part of the Kreuzeck group, which are captured by an extensive tunnel system and fed to the Roßwiese daily storage facility. These include the Teuchlbach, the Gnoppnitzbach, the Grabach and the Niklaibach together with their tributaries. In the Kolbnitz power plant, the energy of the water is converted into electricity.
