Tuxbach Run of-River-Plant

VERBUND's power plant at Tuxbach is a run-of-river plant situated in Tuxbach and the municipality of Finkenberg in the district of Dornau in Tyrol.

The Tuxbach run-of-river power plant was built between 1928 and 1930. As the Tuxbach River had to be placed 20 m higher than the Zemmbach River for geological reasons, this difference in gradient will be used to advantage with a Francis turbine at the Tuxbach power plant. This generates around 2.4 GWh of electricity per year.
