Aubach Run-of-River Plant

VERBUND power plant Aubach is a run-of-river power plant situated on the Isen river and located in the municipality of Neu├Âtting in Bavaria.

Due to the construction of the Neuötting power plant on the Inn River in 1948-51 and the accompanying impoundment of the Inn, it was necessary to relocate the underwater re-insertion for the Isen plant in Winhöring eastwards. The extension of the water body with lateral dams created a gradient towards the Inn, which is utilised for energy by the Aubach power plant. Construction took place in 1952, immediately following the neighbouring Neuötting power plant.
