Aubach Run-of-River Plant

VERBUND power plant Aubach is a run-of-river power plant situated on the Isen river and located in the municipality of Neuötting in Bavaria.

Due to the construction of the Neuötting power plant on the Inn River in 1948-51 and the accompanying impoundment of the Inn, it was necessary to relocate the underwater re-insertion for the Isen plant in Winhöring eastwards. The extension of the water body with lateral dams created a gradient towards the Inn, which is utilised for energy by the Aubach power plant. Construction took place in 1952, immediately following the neighbouring Neuötting power plant.
