Pack Run-of-River Power Plant

VERBUND's power plant at Pack is a run-of-river plant situated east of the town of Pack in Styria. It was constructed from 1929 until 1931.

Technical Description 

The Pack power plant is a daily storage reservoir with a total capacity of 800 kW. In the powerhouse there is a vertical machine unit comprising one installed Francis spiral turbine and one installed synchronous generator.

The maximum operating level of the Pack reservoir, with its useful capacity of 5.4 million m3 is 867.7 m. The reservoir is sealed off via a 33.2 m high gravity dam.
