Hollern Wind Farm II

The VERBUND Hollern II wind farm was constructed in the Lower Austrian municipality of Hollern in the district of Bruck an der Leitha.

VERBUND has been running the Hollern II wind park since 2014. Here, five wind turbines of the type ENERCON E-101 with a hub height of 135 m and a rotor diameter of 101 m produce enough power to cover the electricity needs of around 10,600 households.

For VERBUND, treating nature in a sustainable, resource-saving manner, as well as establishing partnerships with the municipalities, was of primary importance when it came to the realisation of the wind park. The construction was partly financed through a civic participation model in the Bruck an der Leitha region.
