Lebring Run-of-River Power Plant

VERBUND's power plant of Lebring is a run-of-river plant situated on the river Mur and north of the municipality of Lebring in Styria.

Technical Description 

The run-of-river power plant was built from 1985 to 1988 and has two double adjustable, nearly horizontally built-in bulb turbines with 5 degree inclination angles. They have a rotor diameter of 3.85 m each, a bottleneck capacity of 20.200 kW and, with this, manage to produce around 86 GWh of electricity on average per year. A fish bypass is currently also under construction.
